END OF THE YEAR 2018
Dear Donors, Supporters and Volunteersof NECO Foundation, On Behalf of NECO Foundation Nepal, I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a belated blessed and joyful Christmas and Happy New Year. Our commitment to bringing hope to the vulnerable but cherished children of NECO could not have been realized without the generous support of our friends, supporters, contributors, volunteers as well as our entire teammate of NECO Nepal.
Looking back at 2018, our children had excellent academic performances, each child advanced to be at or near the top of his/her respective class. They attend one of the best schools in Kathmandu, are all studious and hard working and, as a result, able to achieve excellence in their academic studies. In addition, under the care of the NECO staff as well as coaches and volunteers the children were able to excel in many extra-curricular activities such as Martial Arts, Dance, Art and Crafts, Soccer etc. Many of our children compete nationally in Martial Arts and dance and are able to win top prizes in their fields.
We were able to provide nutritious food, warm and loving environment and home-like accommodations for the children for year. We were able to do so and more than fulfill the needs of the children despite having financial difficulties off an on due to shortage of funds coming in during particular months. We make sure that the children have every opportunity to thrive and are not impacted by financing fluctuations and I am happy to report that we have been very successful considering what each one of our children achieved in 2018. This is all because of the kind-hearted people in the world like you all, supporters and well wishers of NECO. So, I don’t want to forget to say thank you to all of you especially the monthly consistent donors; such donors give us stability so we can do our best to guarantee a bright future for the children and achieve our mission.
We also would like acknowledgethe kind donors who participated in our fund raising events in Los Angels and Europe. Sincere thanks go to our president Mr. Bishow Bhatta who always supports the children, as well as Mr. Cyrus Parvini, Mr. Gerald Babel Sutter and his family, and our NECO Foundation Board’s Officers and Advisors Mr. Faramarz Mark Yazdani, Mrs. Karen Herman, Mrs. Homa Yazdani,and Mr. Anthony A. Lee.
Finally, a warm and heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported our efforts this year in any way, as donors, volunteers and supporters.
We look forward to our excellent collaboration with you in 2019.
