Revisit to the month of August

This month started with the kid’s short hike to Maula Kalika Temple in Chitwan on 5th of August. We all departed at 6:30 A.M. from NECO Home in our own bus for the temple. We started hiking after 7 A.M. from the foot of the temple.

Hello & Namaste to everyone. Here, I would like to brief you about the events and activities that took place at NECO Foundation in the gone month of August 2024.

We climbed 1,882 steps to reach the temple. We reached the temple after 2 hours of hiking. We returned after spending some time at the temple and climbed down the stairs. It was a very enjoyable and refreshing trip.

On 12th August, the kids conducted a small talent contest. They prepared different performances like dancing, singing, jokes, etc. It was an enjoyable evening for the kids.

On 18th August the children’s got the result of their First Terminal Examination they took on 10th to 19th of July. Many children did great in their examinations and others are also improving their studies.

The kids resumed their school classes on the 13th of August after their long summer break. There was a football competition held on 16th of August by dividing kids into two teams. It was a very exciting match.

This month we also had festivals like Janai Purnima on 19th and Shree Krishna Janmashtami on 26th August.

On Krishna Janmashtami they made some headbands to indicate Lord Krishna and enjoyed the day together with everyone..

On Janai Purnima, we tied scared thread on everyone’s wrist in the morning after taking bath and sang some bhajans. During the day the senior girls made Rakhi by themselves for the boys. In the evening, girls tied the handmade Rakhi on the boy’s wrist.

So, the children were involved in activities like cycling, taekwondo, online learning and researching, football, etc. During their extra activities time in their daily schedule.

Here, I would like to conclude my reporting on the activities done in the month of August.
